He'll spend 2/3 of the season on the treatment table I reckon. Fergie wouldn't have signed him on a 'pay as you play' if he thought otherwise.

I'm beginning to think that Rafa has missed an opportunity by signing him. I'm sure Owen would have walked to Anfield given the opportunity. Over the past few years, Rafa has been known to pick up Bosman's so why was Owen overlooked when we need more firepower up front and have limited funds?

I pray that it doesn't work out at Old Toilet - it's gonna be very hard to swallow seeing Owen help them win silverware (shudders)

It seems like I'm going to disagree to an extent. From what I've seen/heard in the media we weren't interested in him so coming back wasn't an option. It also sounds like he didn't exactly have a lot of choice of premiership clubs and if it was the option between man u and hull, as a professional what would you pick? If he had the choice of say Arsenal as well then I wouldn't exactly be happy with him going to man u.
