I feel excited about tonight for some reason and not dreading it as I imagined.

NO GERRARD FOR REDS AT CHELSEA
Jimmy Rice at Stamford Bridge 14 April 2009 Steven Gerrard has not even made the bench as Liverpool look to overturn a 3-1 first leg deficit in tonight's Champions League quarter-final against Chelsea. You can listen to full commentary on our Match Night Live show from 7.30pm BST. The skipper is struggling with an adductor injury and does not make the 18. The Reds XI in full is: Reina, Aurelio, Arbeloa, Skrtel, Carragher, Kuyt, Lucas, Alonso, Mascherano, Benayoun, Torres. Subs: Cavalieri, Dossena, Hyypia, Agger, Riera, Babel, Ngog. STILL KEEP THE FAITH!!!

We're looking good out there but more importantly, the chavs are looking worried.

Come On You Red Men!!! Bloody brilliant!!
Fabio's goal has to be one of the most cheekiest and skillfully placed free kick in years!
A superbly struck penalty by Xabi!! ![]() ![]()

I can't fault the effort from the lads tonight, no-one can but we lost the tie in the Anfield leg.
So close, so many times tonight. The lads done good. Proud of them. "For those of you watching in black and white, Liverpool are the team with the ball" |

That was an unbelieveable match. Not sure what else I can say about it. You're right Rae, it was over before tonight's match started, but we made a
hell of a run at it, eh?

Certain people espoused that there was no way that LFC could get even three goals at Stamford Bridge, we did ourselves proud tonight!

Hey guys long time no see. Long story! Really gutted over tonight even though we did so well. I wonder would Stevie have been the difference to Flumpard
getting two goals? Alonso was not really on him as much tonight, maybe a different game plan.
Hope all are well. YNWA

Very proud of the effort that the lads and the supporters gave tonight. We have to commend the effort of the squad. I thought that the ref was shocking, and
with the way that he was blowing the whistle tonight, its amazing that there were no fouls leading up to the last 2 chelsea goals. After looking at the stats,
we committed 29 fouls during the game, so I am still very bitter about what might have been.
I am very proud of the way the team play without Gerrard, and although we did not go throw, we should be very proud of the effort and the performance of everyone tonight.

Amazing game of football that - the lads did us proud and very nearly pulled off the impossible.
Shame the game was spoiled by an over fussy homer ref and the absolute cheating fucking disgrace that is Didier Drogba- the man just does not play the game in the right manner or spirit (just like Christiano Ronaldo). I hope he fucks off abroad this summer - the country will be a better place without him. We've still got six cup finals to play in the league - at least we can give that our entire focus now and hopefully we'll get the rub of the green. It could still be a memorable season. I'm going to the Arsenal game next Tuesday - can't wait. |

Ahhhhhhhhhhhhh, I thought we're going to do it, no we're not, yes we are, no we're not, YES WE ARE, oh bugger.
Indeed the lads did themselves proud tonight and at least we went out fighting. The ref was a pain with all the whistling and I did start thinking our players should start falling over more. |

The reaction of Thommo and Hasselbaink on Sky last night.

Aurelio´s free kick was such a brill move and what a slap in the face of Czech& Co.. So I hope for a CL Final Porto vs BCN, and for us..well. Premier League Titel,eh?! "The
cup ended up with Stevie G in his room. His girlfriend
